115 Degrees

Location:  Arizona, Mojave Desert

Only the slim shade of a palo verde tree gave me relief in the 115 degree heat near Yuma in July, but the offset joints of the Saguaro nestled next to the palo verde and mesquite trees was one of many exciting compositions around me.  When I left the campsite in the morning at 5AM, the temperature had cooled to 98 degrees.
